The location of the hotel was central, really close to the railway station, Matera was a struggling impoverished settlement of devoutly religious and backward cave dwellers, and the ancient part of Matera. The staff helped us and were nice. The breakfast had a good choice of selection, the food was outstanding.

I will come back in this stylish hotel. Clean and gorgeous place, has lovely views of the town. It has marvellous position to get to that osteria or square.

The place is stylish, we didn't want to say goodbye!
All the rooms are well heated and squeaky clean with a bath in the original cave and the staff are affable.

The room with stunning views. The location was great, for example, Sasso Barisano was relatively near the hotel.

Units for photos. This hotel was located in a central area just off Matera was a struggling impoverished settlement of devoutly religious and backward cave dwellers, SO many restaurants and a cave in the Stones of Matera.

The location was great and fab, a 10-15 minute walking distance from Musma Museum. We had fashionable and modern rooms with a microwave, an electric kettle, and fridges. The staff was accommodating, helped us with restaurants...

Breakfasts were very very good.
Truly enjoyed unique comfort double room with GOOD hairdryer, wouldn't mind staying there all day. Its location just a short walk away from Sasso Barisano was marvellous and fascinating.

The hotel had a central location and it was within walking distance of Palombaro Lungo. I ate at the authentic restaurant near the venue.
Cannot find any fault!

Spent New Year's holiday in the heart of an ancient town with stunning views from the room. The spacious room with a state-of-the-art Japanese bath and ample space was amazing. A truly magnificent location, with tourist attractions and local restaurants nearby. The valet service for our car was a lifesaver, the roads are tight in the town, and it saved us from the headache of navigating the streets.
Somehow the reception staff were more helpful to Italian speaking guests and could have been more responsive to our needs. The Wi-Fi signal in the room was weak, which meant we could not access our mails.

I cannot say enough how much I enjoyed my stay here. The room was fantastic, the location unbeatable. But, more importantly, I was treated more as a friend than as a guest. I was even invited to a party in someone's home. The family who run this hotel clearly love what they do. An experience I will never forget. Highly recommended!
